Common Knee Injuries & Pain Relief

The knee is the largest joint in our body and it takes a lot of punishment, so it’s little wonder that people often suffer from knee pain. Here are a few common knee injuries and a few tips on how to relieve the pain as naturally as possible.

If you love to run or hike, your knees are doing a lot of work and for these athletes, the area under the patella can begin to swell and become inflamed. Typically the children who suffer from this syndrome are involved in sports, and the condition often arises during or just after a growth spurt. It causes lumps to form below the knee, which can be very painful. The lumps or knobs are why this condition also is simply sometimes called knobby knees.

Our bodies have tendons in many areas, and these actually connect the muscles and bones. When the tendons are inflamed, this is a condition called tendonitis, and it can cause a great deal of discomfort. Patellar tendinitis, also known as jumper’s knee, is another common ailment of the knees.
