Ride In Style With ZP176 Clothing

Think of competitive horse-riding and you probably see one of two images. One is of the rodeo cowboy in his leather chaps and boots that were designed specifically to fit more comfortably in the stirrups. The other image you may have is of a girl from an affluent family, sitting up straight in the saddle and wearing jodhpurs, a riding cap and a fitted jacket while competing in an event like dressage. Clothing lines like ZP176 make it possible for this type of rider to ride in style.

No family is so immediately associated with horses as the British monarchy. Queen Elizabeth used to love being in the saddle and even now that her age prevents her from riding too much, she is still the owner of champion racehorses. Prince Phillip helped to popularize carriage riding as a competitive sport and many a young girl today swoon over pictures of Prince Harry in his polo outfit, just like their mothers used to swoon over Prince Charles on the polo field.

One member of the royal family who absolutely lives for horses is Princess Anne, the Queen’s only daughter. In 1976 she even represented her country as a rider at the Olympic Games. Captain Mark Phillips, her first husband, was someone she met through her love of riding. He was an Olympic gold medalist in his day and still works in riding circles.

It was almost a given that the princess’ and her husband’s children would grow up in the saddle. Their daughter Zara followed in their footsteps and from 2006 to 2010 she was the world champion in eventing. In 2012 she won a silver medal at the Olympics in London and press photographers were delighted as a proud Princess Anne presented her daughter with the medal.

Zara is not only an accomplished rider. In school, she excelled not only in a variety of sports but also academically. She became a qualified physiotherapist, naturally specializing in equine physiotherapy. She married rugby hero Mike Tindall and in 2013 she had to give up riding for a while as she was expecting their first child, a daughter who no doubt will grow up with a love of horses too.

Another of Zara’s accomplishments is a clothing line she launched in 2010. Unlike so many celebrities who launch their own lines of jewelry, shoes or other fashion items, Zara chose to stick with what she knows best. Her line, which got its name from the number she wore the first time she represented her country as an equestrian, includes stylish versions of the items a rider would need. There are tops, jackets, caps, socks and headbands in the line, for instance.

Zara’s line is available through Musto Outdoor Clothing. They have stores in the UK. However, if you live anywhere in Europe, you can order items designed by the young woman who is fifteenth in the line of succession to the British throne and they will deliver to you.

Musto is a highly respected manufacturer of outdoor clothing such as a range specifically for sailing. Their crowning range however is ZP176, Zara’s line which was named for the number she wore when she first started representing Britain as a rider. With these clothes, you’ll look stylish in the saddle but the functionality of the different items may help you become a champion too.
